As an Accounting Consultant, you'll support the Derivative accounting team and associated reporting for Brighthouse Financial's investments in derivative instruments. You'll prepare derivatives disclosures, support Statutory Blue Book investment derivative schedules, and assist with journal entries for derivative accounting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience in a public or private company environment
- Working knowledge in GAAP or Statutory accounting and reporting
- Previous experience working in derivative accounting and reporting
- Organizational skills and ability to track various issues at one time
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Access)
- Proficiency in PowerBi and/or SQL
- Completion of or progress towards CPA or MBA
