Solution Architect

We are looking for a Solution Architect to join our team at Bupa. As a Solution Architect, you will play a key role in bringing our digital transformation journey to life. You will design and deliver scalable, secure, and modern solutions that support both our existing services and new digital experiences. You will work at the heart of our technology teams, helping to solve real business challenges and balance innovation with the needs of a complex, evolving technology landscape.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, within an architecture role
• Strong understanding of core IT infrastructure, including networks, telephony, and identity and access management
• Working knowledge of healthcare systems (such as patient administration or imaging platforms) and experience integrating them with enterprise systems like HR and finance
• Experience supporting system integration during acquisitions or new site builds
• Ability to contribute to due diligence, Day 1 readiness planning, and post-acquisition roadmaps
• Skilled in designing high-availability solutions, using recognised approaches such as UML or C4 modelling
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or GCP), including platform services and workload migration
• Strong understanding of modern architecture practices, including APIs, microservices, cloud-native design, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
• Ability to design secure, scalable, and resilient solutions that support business growth
• Comfortable balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategy and simplification
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to a range of audiences
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to work across teams and build strong relationships
