Sample Preparation Technician 1

We are seeking a Sample Preparation Technician to prepare mineral samples using various methods such as crushing, pulverizing or sieving. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a keen attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, and experience in a mineral processing/analytical lab environment.

Requirements

• Prepare geological samples by crushing, pulverizing or sieving according to Standard Operating Procedures
• Ensure fast and accurate processing of incoming samples in priority sequence
• Operate, clean equipment and notify shift Lead-Hand or Supervisor when equipment maintenance is necessary
• Comply with occupational health and safety legislation, BV Group Policies and Procedures, Upstream Minerals Management System Policies and Procedures and ISO standards applicable to the position
• Provide feedback to Lead-Hand or Supervisor for possible improvements in his/her work area
