Controls Engineer

Role Overview

Design and develop controls systems to automate processes and machines. Perform a wide variety of control design and application duties, including implementation of control algorithms in software and development of software data file structures.

What You Will Do

Assist with developing engineering and functional system specifications, programming hardware/software, and maintaining program documentation related to diagnostics and data collection.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Knowledge of automated controls platforms, control & instrumentation theory, and small computer and microprocessor programming techniques is required. Experience with agile scrum methodology is preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or controls engineering
• 2+ years' experience in controls engineering
• Knowledge of automated controls platforms (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, B&R)
• Knowledge of control & instrumentation theory and application
• Small computer and microprocessor programming techniques (Motion Control, PLC, Visual C++)
• Ability to read basic electrical controls schematics and other drawings
