Mechanical Assembly Technician

Role Overview

We are looking for a time served Mechanical Assembly Engineer to ensure equipment and machinery is assembled to a high standard, within expected timelines. The successful applicant will join a Production Assembly Team that assembles, wires and tests High Speed Packaging Machinery for Blue Chip Companies Worldwide.

What You Will Do

Read and analyse assembly drawings, bills of material and specification, to plan machine build operations. Fit and assemble components according to specifications. Communicate any build and documentation issues to Operational Leadership.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The successful applicant will have 3+ years' experience in mechanical assembly, ideally in the packaging industry, and excellent interpersonal and time management skills.

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in mechanical assembly, ideally in the packaging industry
• Education in a relevant engineering discipline, Advanced NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Apprenticeship
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
• A self-starter with a 'can do' flexible attitude
• Ability to work as an individual or as part of a team
• Drive and determination to succeed
• Possess appropriate hand tools
