Material Planner

Role Overview

The Material Planner will work cross-functionally with the operations team to execute procurement functions and source components to support the production schedule. This individual will work with project managers and engineers to purchase custom technical components and report on schedule to company leadership.

What You Will Do

Responsible for material procurement of new and existing products within a Tier 1 ERP system, managing and reporting on material cost/performance, expediting material as needed, and working directly with materials and manufacturing personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years related experience in a MRP manufacturing environment or related technical discipline
• ASCM or other supply chain certification
• Experience in materials planning, sourcing or procurement in a production environment
• Understanding of engineering and manufacturing bills of material and drawings, BOM structures, manufacturing test and quality control processes
• Ability to manage and exceed at delivering on multiple high priority tasks
• Strong team collaboration and analytical skills with ability to execute and follow-through on tasks to completion
• Superior organization skills, accuracy, attention to detail and a high degree of initiative
• Demonstrated working knowledge of MRP purchasing, Outlook and Excel (vlookup, pivot tables) including spreadsheet creation, calculation and reporting
• Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality management systems
• Strong oral verbal and written communications skills
