Material Planner

We are looking for a Material Planner to manage materials and production orders for manufacturing within the supply chain group. This role acts as an intermediary between project planning, engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing teams to ensure production readiness and continuity.

Requirements

• Manage material requirements based on project demands, available inventory, and production schedules
• Plan and release purchase requisitions for buy items and coordinate with buyers on purchase orders and expediting
• Ensure bill of material changes are incorporated into structures, including work in process and work in queue for production
• Manage production and project timelines and adjust schedules as needed to meet targets
• Conduct stock checks and monitor material availability to ensure production readiness
• Communicate potential risks or delays to stakeholders across engineering, production, and project teams
• Monitor actual versus planned material consumption and plan resupply accordingly
• Use planning tools such as SAP, Excel, and other systems to manage data and workflows
• Provide input to improve material planning processes and overall efficiency
• Perform other duties as required within the scope of the role
