This position is responsible for sorting hold area slabs, selecting slabs for fabrication, and moving slabs to the necessary line location. Essential duties include learning and applying warehouse work concepts, staging material, and participating in monthly inventory counts.
Requirements
- Learn and apply the concepts of Cambria warehouse work as outlined in the Warehouse SOPs
- Stage material to prepare for inspection of slab
- Sort slabs using an overhead crane and store them in the correct locations
- Ensure that slabs are scanned correctly
- Inspect the overhead crane daily
- Operate a forklift as needed
- Complete safety inspections of forklift and crane
- Participate in monthly inventory counts
- Communicate with Supervisor to keep them informed of material defects and inventory levels
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Conduct all job-related duties in a safe and responsible manner
- Sense of urgency in completing work
- Cross-train on multiple types of equipment
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor or Management
