Process Technician II

Role Overview

The Process Tech II takes full ownership of various processes in the injection molding department, maintaining optimum daily performance, run efficiency, and repeatability of all molds and machinery. They perform accurate mold set-ups and start-ups daily, maintaining high machine output and utilization.

What You Will Do

Perform mold preparation, mold removal, mold installation, and robot and secondary equipment set-up. Troubleshoot and resolve processing range issues, and work closely with other departments to perform mold/material testing.

Must have previous demonstrated advanced level processing/troubleshooting skills, ability to develop and optimize run parameters, and excellent knowledge of the injection molding process, materials, molds, and machinery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to 4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous demonstrated advanced level processing/troubleshooting skills
• Ability to develop, optimize and document run parameters for new or existing department molds, materials, auxiliary and secondary equipment
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to solve practical processing related problems in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Excellent knowledge of the injection molding process, materials, molds, and machinery
