The Senior Corporate Law Clerk will perform a variety of legal and administrative duties, including preparing routine minute book documentation, maintaining corporate records, and conducting corporate reviews. The role will also involve coordinating with lawyers and supporting the Corporate Secretary and Assistant Corporate Secretary.
Requirements
- Completion of law clerk program recognized by the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario
- 6-10 years of related experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
- A Member in good standing with the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario
- In depth knowledge and understanding of the corporate statutes
- Superior administrative, organizational and time management skills
- Superior computer skills, including but not limited to Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Diligent and corporate databases (CorpLink)
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Superior research and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented, hardworking, and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision from lawyer
