Welder

Cannon Industries is a leading sheet metal and custom weld fabricator seeking a skilled Welder to join their team in Rochester, New York. As a Welder, you will work from customer drawings and travelers to fabricate and weld components to produce high-quality products at the lowest cost.

Requirements

• Job knowledge through suitable education or prior work experience
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move 25-50 pounds
• Minimum 20/20 vision standards
• Score a minimum score on the in-house welding test
• Knowledge on how to set-up weld machine and lay a quality bead for both Mig and Tig
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols at an advanced level
• Knowledge of the metric system preferred
• Accurately measure and lay out locations for welded components
• Adjust weld as needed to accommodate varying thicknesses of steel
• Operate grinder, drill, band saw, torch
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, etc.
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
• Maintain departmental housekeeping standards
