Business Development Representative

Carta is seeking a Business Development Representative to join its Fund Administration and Private Equity Sales team in Hong Kong. The role involves generating pipeline, partner development, networking, targeted outreach, and value selling. The ideal candidate has prior experience in Venture Capital or Private Equity in Hong Kong, strong networking skills, and fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin.

Requirements

• Native or professional fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin
• Prior experience working within Venture Capital or Private Equity in Hong Kong
• Highly proficient at in-person networking and comfortable navigating social situations with senior executives
• Ambitious, driven, and fearless in the face of rejection
• Tremendous desire to constantly improve in a “no-egos” and high-velocity environment
• Ability to read emotional cues, understand a customer’s needs, and navigate a conversation with meaningful solutions
• Experience working in a high-volume customer-facing role
• Ability to break down and effectively communicate complex topics
