Teacher Assistant/Associate Teacher ( Early Childhood )

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet is seeking a Teacher Assistant/Associate Teacher to contribute to the early childhood education program. The role involves adhering to Head Start Performance Standards, assisting teachers with daily activities, and collaborating with parents. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent for Teacher Assistant.
• Associate of Arts Degree in Child Development with 36+ hours of college credits.
• Previous experience working with children ages Birth – Five years old (volunteer or paid) is preferred.
• Must be a minimum of 19 years old.
• 6 college credit hours within the first year of employment.
• Minimum of a 'C' grade or better in a Child Development Course.
• Must obtain and maintain a Level 1 or 3 Illinois Gateway ECE Credential Level within 2 years.
• Must pass a background check, physical, and TB test.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Teams).
