09 - Operations Engineering Advisor

The Operations Engineering Advisor role involves applying expertise in multiple areas of specialization, working within established professional standards and objectives, and influencing others to achieve goals. This position requires a deep understanding of design processes, manufacturing processes, and quality standards. The advisor will work with suppliers to improve quality and reliability, analyze data to solve quality issues, and lead the selection of new manufacturing equipment. The role also involves excellent customer contact, negotiation, and problem resolution skills, as well as strong knowledge of statistical process control methods and techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Six to eight years relevant experience
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the design process for systems and printed circuit boards, subassemblies, or other related company products
• Excellent customer contact, negotiation and problem resolution skills
• Good presentation, database management and computer skills
• Strong knowledge of statistical process control methods and techniques
• Ability to design tests, evaluate results and recommend solutions to improve the processes associated with SMT and optical manufacturing
• Ability to evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot problems
• Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external customers
