Functional DFT Engineer

Celestica is seeking a Thermal Management Engineer with 10+ years of experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) electronics manufacturing. This role is crucial in ensuring thermal reliability and performance of PCB assemblies, designing optimized heat dissipation solutions, and supporting product development. The engineer will collaborate across teams, specify cooling hardware, and support thermal simulations.

Requirements

• Collaborate with cross functional teams (design, mechanical, assembly, reliability, test) to design and validate thermal solutions.
• Support the design and manufacturing teams to specify, select, and manufacture the cooling hardware.
• Lead the selection, specification and testing of thermal interface materials (TIMs), phase change materials, coatings, and liquid or hybrid cooling technologies.
• Support/lead thermal simulations (CFD, FEA) and empirical validation to insure design and hardware are delivering the desired performance and reliability requirements.
• Collaborate with design, process, and quality teams to fulfil regulatory, customer compliance and industry standards.
