Offshore Deckhand

Role Overview

Maintain vessels in a state of readiness to perform work for customers. Perform work as directed by captain and/or mate of vessel and assist engineer as requested.

What You Will Do

Clean and prepare decks, make up tows, perform lubrication services, properly tie off barge tows, give direction and distance signals, use the radio, and perform other tasks as assigned.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must possess a valid U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC), have previous Deckhand experience, and be able to comprehend and respond to specific orders from the Captain or Mate.

Requirements

• Valid U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC)
• Basic Training (VI/1) and Security Awareness (VI/6) endorsements
• Vessel Personnel with Designated Security Duties (VPDSD) (VI/6-2) endorsements
• Tankerman PIC Endorsement
• Valid first aid/CPR certificate
• HAZWOPER training
• Valid TWIC
• Valid state driver's license
