CesiumAstro is seeking an Electronics Assembly Technician II to join their team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-reliability industries and be capable of building, repairing, and maintaining SMT circuit cards and electronics final assemblies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in electronic assembly operations such as SMT, AOI, Prepping Components, X-Ray, De-Panel, and Soldering
- Experience in interpreting schematics, drawings, diagrams, and other visual aides for assembly
- Ability to work with team members to ensure production roles are clear
- Ability to regularly communicate with engineers and design staff to ensure designs are being implemented correctly
- Experience using tools to make or repair parts and products
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to differentiate between colors to identify colored electrical wires
- Attention to detail and the maintenance of a clean workspace
- Ability to read parts lists and make sure all are present
- Familiarity with undergoing routine preventive maintenance
- Experience maintaining inventory and placing orders for more supplies as needed
- Basic computer skills to complete quality control forms
- Familiarity working in an ESD and FOD-controlled environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow strict safety guidelines
