Job Description
We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer II to join our team at CesiumAstro, a company that develops out-of-the-box communication systems for satellites, UAVs, and other space and airborne platforms. The successful candidate will implement and maintain supplier quality processes, work cross-functionally with engineering and operations, and ensure supplier compliance to QMS, customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 3 years of supplier quality experience in aerospace and defense industries
- Experience managing suppliers for space-grade machining, PCBs, PCBAs, integrated assemblies, and test
- Demonstrated skills in supplier management, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interpret engineering documentation, requirements, and other supplier flow downs
- Experience with certified quality management systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001
- Expertise in root cause analysis methodologies and corrective action implementation
- Experience with aerospace and electronics manufacturing
- Ability to travel 20-40% of the time to supplier quality processes and audit suppliers
