Role Overview

Performs basic patient care functions to assist the physician and nursing staff in a medical office. Assists in the operation of office as it relates to scheduling, referrals, and filing.

What You Will Do

Performs basic medical care, schedules patient appointments, and performs receptionist duties. May chart on behalf of the provider and performs phlebotomy and EKG leads.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Prior experience as a medical assistant is preferred. Basic computer knowledge is also preferred.

Requirements

• Current MA Certification from one of the following: CMA, RMA, NCMA
• BLS required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained throughout employment
• Prior experience as a medical assistant preferred
• Basic computer knowledge preferred
• Prior experience in phlebotomy and placing EKG leads preferred
