Job Description
This part-time position for an Assistant Football Coach at Maurice J. McDonough High School is designed to develop coaching skills, plan practice sessions, and supervise all levels of the sport. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a commitment to upholding school policies and upholding character standards. The role also involves responsibility for student conduct, equipment management, and documentation.
Requirements
- Teachers or certificated professional educators employed by the local Board of Education.
- Persons certifiable as professional educators by the State Department of Education according to 13A.12.01.
- Credentialed coaches who meet the following requirement: Are eligible to hold a Maryland certificate under COMAR 13A.12.01.
- Possess a MPSSAA/MSDE Coaching Certification.
- Completed two years of successful coaching as an emergency coach.
- Spent the previous one year as a successful emergency coach at the school of hire in the position of hire.
