The Westlake High School Girls Assistant Basketball Coach position is a 12-month, part-time temporary position. The role involves coaching a team, developing a coaching program, and supervising players. The ideal candidate will be committed to character development and maintaining high standards of excellence. This position is for those eligible to hold a Maryland certificate under COMAR 13A.

Requirements

• Be knowledgeable of the contents of the Charles County Public Schools Extra-Curricular Handbook.
• Meet the eligibility requirements for a Maryland Certificate (COMAR 13A).
• Have a MPSSAA/MSDE Coaching Certification.
• Completed two years of successful coaching as an emergency coach at the school.
• Responsible for building security and ensuring player safety, compliance with school policies, and accurate documentation.
• Assist in pre-season meetings and on practice days.
