Chart Industries is looking for a Sr. Design Engineer for our office in Buffalo, NY - Aftermarket Division. This individual will perform/lead/manage design engineering projects to support product groups, supply chain, new product development, and product enhancements in regard to centrifugal and axial fans for the Power, Industrial and Nuclear industries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering or the equivalent.
- Registered Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain one.
- 5+ years of design experience within an air and gas handling, rotating equipment, or heavy industrial firm.
- Familiarity with various industry standards: i.e. API, MIL, SAE, ANSI, ASME, and ASTM.
- Ability to interpret and understand engineering specifications, drawings and bills of materials.
- Computer literate, with either the knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly learn, engineering selection programs, business systems, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Autodesk Inventor (3D), and AutoCAD (2D).
- Knowledgeable of fabricating, weldments and assembly of heavy industrial products.
- Logical problem solving skills, outstanding organizational skills, and dedication to quality and integrity.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel when required.
