Process Engineer

Role Overview

Wieland is hiring a Process Engineer to develop and define the support system for the production and finishing department. The role requires proven excellence in manufacturing engineering and process development. This position is located in Wheeling, IL and will be fully on-site.

What You Will Do

The Process Engineer will support Process Engineering initiatives, learn and develop expertise in technical and quality aspects, optimize and implement Standard Operating Procedures, and provide frontline support for troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing
• Ability to coach and communicate with individuals across a broad range of education, experience, and functional levels
• Very strong ability and desire to learn and apply new concepts
• 2+ years of experience in process engineering (forming manufacturing process)
• Understanding of metal (mechanical properties, crystalline structure, etc.)
• Knowledge of automation and its application in manufacturing
