Tooling Engineer

Role Overview

Wieland is hiring a Tooling Engineer to develop, optimize, and manage tooling used in the Tech Tube fining process and copper shell drawing operations. The role focuses on troubleshooting tooling issues, improving tooling performance, and establishing structured tooling management systems to support operational efficiency and cost optimization.

What You Will Do

The Tooling Engineer will support setup development and optimization for internal and external finning operations, troubleshoot tooling and process issues, and collaborate with production teams to improve fining stability and repeatability.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, and 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong organizational skills are required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
