Underwriting Assistant - Property

Role Overview

Support Underwriters with evaluating and pre-underwriting risks, including pricing, reviewing surveys, and liaison with brokers. This role is an introduction to Underwriting and will take the individual through all aspects of how to Underwrite.

What You Will Do

Pricing of risks, reviewing submissions, high-level review of surveys, triaging of risks, and assisting with Underwriting notes. Attend broker/client Underwriting meetings, issue quotes, and assist with day-to-day admin.

This role requires experience working within the Insurance market, competent use of Microsoft Office, and progression towards ACII. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team in a pressured environment.

Requirements

• Experience working within the Insurance market
• Competent at using Internet Explorer for conducting research
• Competent using Microsoft Office
• Progression towards ACII
• GCSE Maths grade B or above (or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 A grade GCSE’s or equivalent
