Job Description
The Product Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and supporting products from concept through production. This role combines engineering analysis, CAD design, manufacturability considerations, and cross functional collaboration to ensure products meet performance, quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- 5-10 years of experience in product design, product development, or new product launch in a manufacturing environment
- Prior experience within the metal stamping industry preferred; the firearms industry is a plus
- Strong understanding of mechanical design, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering fundamentals
- Working knowledge of materials (metals, plastics, composites) and associated manufacturing processes
- Experience with PLM/ERP systems is a plus (PLEX preferred)
- Demonstrated proficiency with 3D modeling and drafting in SolidWorks, Creo, or similar CAD tools
- Familiarity with DFMA principles, root cause analysis tools, and structured problem solving methods
- Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and design work
- Analytical thinker with strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Clear, effective verbal and written communication; able to explain engineering concepts to non technical audiences
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Collaborative, team oriented mindset with a willingness to work across departments
