As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will design and build scalable infrastructure, lead migration to cloud-native architectures, and implement automation and DevOps practices. You will work with an eight-person IT team and be responsible for technical leadership, security, and compliance.
Requirements
- 5+ years as a platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineer in production environments
- Deep hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Strong background in Linux/Unix system administration and networking
- Proven track record building automation with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance fundamentals
- Expert-level Linux administration and shell scripting
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Ruby)
- Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPNs, firewalls
- Experience with configuration management and orchestration tools
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability platforms
- Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Familiarity with virtualisation technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V)
