IT Project Management Office (PMO) Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an IT Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to harmonize and professionalize IT project management within an international project portfolio. The role involves defining, developing, and enforcing project management guidelines, methods, standards, and tools.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include conceiving and conducting training sessions, accompanying the initiation of new projects, planning and organizing PMO meetings, and defining, implementing, and developing KPIs for controlling the project portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have completed studies in computer science, business informatics, business administration, or a comparable qualification, and several years of experience in IT project management, ideally in the context of PMO, governance, or project portfolio management.

Requirements

• Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, business administration, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in IT project management, ideally in the context of PMO, governance, or project portfolio management
• In-depth knowledge of project management methods (classical, agile, and hybrid) and their application and development
• Experience in building and optimizing project management standards, processes, and tools
• Secure handling of project management tools and reporting structures, as well as experience in KPI-based control
• Outstanding analytical thinking and the ability to present and communicate complex issues in a clear and understandable way
• Strong communication and moderation skills, as well as a pleasure in working with international stakeholders
• Structured, self-responsible, and solution-oriented working style with high quality orientation
• Assertiveness combined with diplomatic skills in dealing with different interest groups
• Very good German and English skills in writing and speaking
