A Psychologist is required to offer services to families referred to the outpatient mental health program at CHEO. The Psychologist will work with individuals and families, providing psychological assessments, interventions and consultative services within the CAPA framework.
Requirements
- Provide comprehensive psychological assessment, with a focus on diagnostic formulation as well as short-term interventions.
- Provide psychological treatment using different approaches
- Provide risk assessment and short-term crisis intervention services within Rapid Response Pathway
- Facilitate parent groups
- Liaise with community psychologists and other health care professionals
- Provide supervision/training to pre-doctoral psychology interns and offer learning opportunities to other student professionals in training.
- Work within CAPA framework
- Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Performs administrative tasks such as maintaining clinical documentation, progress notes, workload statistics and updating health records in accordance with established standards.
- Participates in and supports clinical research activities with the inter-professional team members.
