Safety Engineer

Chesapeake Contracting Group is seeking a Safety Engineer to assist in taking the company's Safety Program to the next level. The ideal candidate will have a go-getter attitude and excellent communication skills, with experience in construction safety principles, techniques, and methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree/board certification in Safety, or a related field, preferred
• 1 year of relevant safety experience
• Excellent communication skills and strong ability to develop relationships
• Working knowledge of construction safety principles, techniques and methods.
• Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations and policies.
• Capable of identifying known potential exposures and recommending corrective actions.
• Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Suite.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle a varied and changing workload
• Proven ability to identify and solve problems
• Independent, self-managed, and self-starter personality
