The Senior Accountant provides oversight and leadership to the accounts payable team while supporting the accounting function of Christian Care Ministry (CCM) and the programs the ministry administers.
Requirements
- Analyze and reconcile complex bank accounts and investigate outstanding items to ensure timely adjustments
- Maintain fixed assets schedule, posting monthly depreciation and reconciling balances in a fixed asset module to balance sheet accounts
- Prepare and distribute the daily cash balance report to Finance leadership
- Maintain prepaid expense amortization schedules and reconciliations
- Prepare and post journal entries and accruals as needed
- Verify accuracy of new vendors created by non-AP staff
- Analyze, prioritize, and code invoices and expense vouchers for accuracy and payment eligibility to ensure timely payments
- Reconcile executive credit card charges in Concur monthly as needed
- Perform general ledger analysis to summarize the composition of each account
- Prepare annual IRS 1099 reporting for contract labor
- Process monthly expense reporting
- Assist with audit preparation
