Job Description
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily store operations, supervising and training staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and assisting with administrative and management duties.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Opticianry or some postsecondary education
- At least one year of retail management experience (optical industry preferred)
- At least one year of experience as an optician in a retail store or optometry office
- Knowledge of retail operations and staff management
- Strong customer service and sales skills
- Ability to train, motivate, and supervise employees
- Basic math and computer skills
- Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle conflict and make sound decisions
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to operate eye exam and optical measuring equipment
