The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in daily store operations, supervising and training staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and assisting with administrative and management duties.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Opticianry or some postsecondary education
• At least one year of retail management experience (optical industry preferred)
• At least one year of experience as an optician in a retail store or optometry office
• Knowledge of retail operations and staff management
• Strong customer service and sales skills
• Ability to train, motivate, and supervise employees
• Basic math and computer skills
• Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle conflict and make sound decisions
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Ability to operate eye exam and optical measuring equipment
