Job Description
The City of Independence is seeking a highly motivated, solution-oriented individual to join the Power & Light Engineering Team as an Engineer III or IV. The position will involve planning and developing engineering projects, serving as a project leader, and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion. The ideal candidate will have expertise in power distribution system engineering and project management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited college or university in electrical engineering or related field
- Minimum of 6 years general utility/power systems engineering experience for Engineer III, or 10 years for Engineer IV
- Certificate in Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) and Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Missouri for Engineer III, or valid certificate in Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) and registration as a professional engineer (PE) for Engineer IV
