Job Description
Performs a variety of professional and technical supervisory duties related to developing, updating and filing of drawings and databases for substation, transmission and distribution projects and related facilities. Plans & coordinates work associated with AutoDesk/ESRI and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Requirements
- Supervises and directs the work of GIS/CAD staff
- Oversees and coordinates technical aspects of all GIS/CAD related projects and database records
- Carries out supervisory responsibility in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws
- Compiles information, prepares reports of Division’s activities and projects
- Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment needed to complete job tasks
- Prepares operating and capital improvement budget requests for various projects related to GIS/CAD
- Responds to inquiries from Power & Light Divisions and other City Departments
- Interacts with vendor and manufacturer representatives
- Reviews and approves Joint Use and Small Cell attachments between various utilities
