The Wallace H. Coulter School of Engineering at Clarkson University invites applicants to apply for a Professor of Practice teaching-track position focused on biomedical engineering and bioengineering. The successful applicant will develop and teach assigned biomedical engineering-related undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor student-project teams, and grow industry-sponsored design projects.
Requirements
- Develop and teach classes at the undergraduate and graduate level
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate students on biomedical manufacturing-related design projects
- Advise and promote University manufacturing SPEED team (Student Projects for Experiential Education)
- Advise students on curricular and career matters
- Lead educational student-visits to bio-manufacturing sites
- Teach undergraduate and graduate biomedical engineering and design related courses as well as develop curricular material
- Communicate clearly in both oral and written formats
- Interact with colleagues to promote a productive, collaborative environment
- Interact with industry professionals to foster mutually beneficial relationships
- Effectively advise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students
- Organize and coordinate educational outreach efforts
- Generate an exciting and enthusiastic learning environment for students
