Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Assistant Building Engineer to join the engineering team at a 24-story commercial office building in the heart of downtown Chicago.
Requirements
- 5-6 years of experience as an Assistant Building Engineer or in a related role
- Proficient in HVAC troubleshooting, especially steam and cooling tower systems
- Experience with standard electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems specific to high-rise buildings
- Relevant certifications such as HVAC, EPA, Chicago Stationary Engineer license, or building systems engineering are preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), work in confined spaces, and climb ladders as required for maintenance tasks
