The Penny Hoarder is seeking a performance-driven media buyer to own and scale a core revenue channel. The role is responsible for owning revenue and gross margin performance of Native platforms, managing a multi-million-dollar budget, and driving continuous optimization across the full funnel, from ad creative to landing page experience to downstream monetization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in performance marketing, with hands-on experience managing Native advertising campaigns.
- Proven track record scaling paid media campaigns profitably at meaningful spend levels (Native, Meta, Google, or similar)
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify root causes of performance, separate signal from noise, and make confident, data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in Excel, including working with large datasets and building reports.
- Deep understanding of affiliate marketing models, lead generation, and revenue-per-click or revenue-per-session monetization strategies.
- Demonstrated track record of proactively testing, iterating, and scaling campaigns—not just maintaining performance.
- Knowledge of performance metrics (e.g., CPC, conversion rate, revenue per session) and how to optimize toward them.
- Demonstrated expertise in landing page optimization, including real-world testing examples that led to measurable improvements.
- Experience optimizing toward down-funnel quality metrics like lead-to-sale rate, client retention, or lifetime value.
- Ability to prioritize high-impact opportunities and act with urgency in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for performance outcomes.
- Clear and effective communicator, able to present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally.
