Role Overview

This role independently engineers secure, scalable and reliable technology solutions to advance CME Group in the global marketplace and serve risk management needs of customers around the world.

What You Will Do

Focuses on Architecture and Solution efficiencies, identifies potential opportunities for code optimization, and writes optimized application modules and unit tests.

A Senior Engineer with in-depth core Java development experience, ability to evaluate the characteristics of algorithms and data structures, and proficiency in Multi-threading, concurrent data structures, shared memory, synchronization, JNI, NIO, Hashmap, etc.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Core Java development experience
• Ability to evaluate the characteristics of algorithms and data structures for the given constraint
• Proficiency in Multi-threading, concurrent data structures, shared memory, synchronization, JNI, NIO, Hashmap, etc.
• Experience working with networking protocols (UDP, TCP)
• Experience with Cloud Technology preferred
• Familiarity with redundancy and fault tolerance techniques
• Familiarity with JVM internals and garbage collection tuning
• Familiarity with BDD test tools preferred
• Past experience working in Financial domain or Derivative Exchange preferred
