Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking passionate and driven Senior Software Engineers who are eager to innovate and help build industry-leading data management products. As part of Cohesity’s Data Protect Product Engineering team, you will contribute to our product portfolio by developing features, tools, and scripts that enhance the customer experience.

What You Will Do

This role involves leading key technical initiatives and collaborating across teams to drive product development and support. You will take ownership of end-to-end design and implementation for complete feature sets for both on-premises and cloud platforms based on product requirements and customer feedback.

Requirements

• Typically requires a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
• Strong coding experience in any of these languages - C, C++, Golang, Python
• Comfortable in using tools - JIRA, Github, Test framework in Python
• Development experience on products related to enterprise class data protection
• Knowledge of Microservices, Public Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI etc.) and SaaS architecture. AI/ML is definitely a plus
• Experience developing and troubleshooting large scale distributed systems written in Go/C/C++ on Linux and Windows Platforms.
• Strong coding, analytical, debugging and troubleshooting skills including use of tools such GDB, Python Debugger.
• Problem-solver who can dive deep to solve complex problems/issues.
• Bring good testing methodologies and passion for building quality products
• Great communication skills, influences others to adopt inclusive, innovative, and customer-centric behaviours.
• Knowledge of agile/scrum methodologies
• Ability to articulate design and implementation choices, communicates complex concepts to diverse audiences; simplifies complexity.
• Ability to make decisions based on data and influence stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and support high-quality decision-making
