The Behavioral Health Clinician provides comprehensive mental health and substance use treatment services to individuals in supportive housing or residential settings. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering individual and group therapy, and offering clinical interventions to promote stability, recovery, and independent living.
Requirements
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify behavioral health needs, including mental health and substance use issues.
- Use evidence-based tools for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Deliver evidence-based individual and group therapy tailored to client needs, focusing on mental health and substance use recovery.
- Create, monitor, and update individualized treatment plans with client-centered goals and measurable outcomes.
- Provide support and intervention during crises, stabilizing clients and connecting them with additional resources as needed.
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
- Help clients access community resources (housing, employment, education) that support their wellness and recovery goals.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay updated on best practices in behavioral health through professional development sessions.
- Ensure timely & accurate recording of all clinical services, communications, and tasks in the EHR while maintaining complete up-to-date charts using the system and any future upgrades as directed.
