Transfer Coordinator

Role Overview

Coordinates patient transfers between facilities, supports physician consults, and updates stakeholders on timelines. Works in a team environment with resources to help flourish and leaders who care about success.

What You Will Do

Accurately enters data into EPIC database, coordinates with Flight for Life for patient transports, and recognizes regulatory requirements.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Requires high school diploma, bachelor's degree preferred, and one to two years of direct clinical or administrative healthcare experience. Must have working knowledge of medical terminology, excellent computer skills, and customer service skills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification within 18 months
• One to two years of direct clinical experience in Emergency Department/Critical Care Unit
• One to two years of full-time direct administrative healthcare experience
• One to two years of Transfer Center experience
• Working knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent computer skills
• Customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively
