Educational Facilitator

Role Overview

The Educational Facilitator will work with unaccompanied children, teaching and supervising, and collaborating with other teachers and administrators to evaluate the effectiveness of the educational program. The role requires fluency in English and Spanish, a Bachelor's degree, and relevant certifications. The position involves working with a multidisciplinary team, providing crisis intervention, and maintaining a safe environment.

What You Will Do

The Educational Facilitator will teach one or more subject areas, implement an educational curriculum, and participate in service expansion planning and budget preparations. The role also involves hiring, training, and supervising program personnel, and collaborating with other teachers and administrators to evaluate the effectiveness of the educational program.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of teaching and supervising experience, including a minimum of one year of supervisory experience. The candidate should be able to respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics, and work collaboratively with other staff members and service providers.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and Spanish
• Bachelor's degree
• Certification by the relevant governing authority, Teaching English as a Second Language/Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages certification or other appropriate accrediting body
• First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention certifications
• At least three years of teaching and supervising experience, including a minimum of one year of supervisory experience
