Complex is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Intern to join their team. The role blends editorial content creation with social media strategy, giving hands-on experience across both domains. You will collaborate closely with the editorial and social media teams to produce engaging and shareable content that aligns with their brand voice and appeals to their audience.

Requirements

• Assist in drafting and scheduling daily social media posts across platforms
• Support the team in sourcing, curating, and sharing trending news and culturally relevant moments
• Monitor and engage with the Complex audience through comments, direct messages, and replies
• Research emerging social media trends, viral moments, and platform updates
• Assist in brainstorming ideas for platform-specific content, memes, and real-time posts
• Help track social media performance and analytics, reporting key takeaways and insights to the team
• Collaborate with editorial and video teams to support the promotion of articles, videos, and other content
• Assist in covering major cultural events, such as sneaker drops, album releases, or trending sports moments
