Senior Controls Engineer / Programmer

Role Overview

Join a top-tier Building Automation and Energy Management contractor as a Senior Controls Engineer / Programmer supporting projects throughout Maryland, Washington D.C., and Northern Virginia. This is a highly technical role focused on programming, integrating, and commissioning complex Building Automation Systems (BAS) for mission-critical, commercial, and institutional facilities.

What You Will Do

Design, program, and implement BAS control strategies from concept through system startup, develop custom programming using Delta, Tridium Niagara, or Schneider Electric products, and integrate BAS with third-party HVAC equipment, controllers, and mechanical systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a BAS Programmer, Controls Engineer, or Systems Integrator
• Strong proficiency with Tridium Niagara 4 (N4) and/or Delta Controls
• Expert understanding of sequences of operation, control logic, and IP-based BAS networking
• Ability to lead commissioning efforts and provide in-depth troubleshooting both onsite and remotely
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, mentoring approach to team support
• Comfort working independently and managing multiple ongoing tasks
• Must be able to pass federal government security clearance requirements
