Job Description
Multiple positions available at the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Columbia & Greene Counties Capital Region Welcome Center Taste NY Market, including FT, PT, and Seasonal (temporary). Assist with management of inventory, customer service, food service, and record keeping. Discuss NYS agriculture and local foods with customers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in an informal, educational-based retail environment
- Communication Skills
- Ability to meet travel requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours
- One year retail sales experience
- Experience working in customer service and retail environments
- Understanding of basic marketing
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Proficiency with internet based communications
- Knowledge of the organization, operation, philosophy and objectives of Cooperative Extension
