Packaging Project Engineer

Role Overview

As a Packaging Project Engineer, you will oversee the development, design, validation, and project management of packaging initiatives across the Life Sciences business. You will provide leadership and technical expertise to packaging projects, functioning as a liaison between commercial and manufacturing functions.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include providing packaging expertise to various business functions, identifying and conducting due diligence on continuous improvement projects, and collaborating with packaging suppliers to ensure consistent material quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science plus 3 years of progressive experience as a packaging engineer in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry
• DOE, DOE- Design of Experiments experience
• ASTM and ISTA testing procedures and/or standards
• TOPS Pro or CAPE packaging design software and CAD (SolidWorks) modeling
• Experience interpreting drawings
• Experience in designing packaging for automation
