Buyer/Planner

Role Overview

The Buyer/Planner will work within the Wolfspeed Supply Chain Procurement team and will be responsible for the purchasing and planning of materials. The role will be responsible for executing purchase orders, managing inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers on delivery and lead times, and ensuring uninterrupted material supply to support production.

What You Will Do

Create, manage, and expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of materials, monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to support production demand, and communicate daily with suppliers regarding open orders, shortages, delivery schedules, and escalations.

This role is suitable for individuals with a BS in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, 3 years' experience in a buying, planning, or procurement role, and experience with direct materials purchasing.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
• 3 years' experience in a buying, planning, or procurement role
• Experience with direct materials purchasing
• Demonstrated experience working in a self-directed, fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Responsive with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage supplier relationships on a day-to-day basis and resolve supply issues effectively
