Software Developer

CUBRC is seeking a Software Developer with experience in developing geospatial and environmental information applications. This role involves building applications for ingestion, visualization, and dissemination of data including meteorological and oceanographic information. The developer will also develop back-end applications for data manipulation and serving to front-end components.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Java, Python, Javascript, and ElectronJS in geospatial and environmental applications
• Knowledge of Open Geospatial Consortium Services (Web Map Service, Web Feature Service, Web Coverage Service)
• Knowledge of Geospatial and environmental data types
• Knowledge and practical experience with GIS web and desktop applications
• Knowledge and practical experience with front-end web technologies including React.js, Vue.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
