Job Description
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department setting. Assesses patients, using nursing judgment and appropriate screening protocols to determine unmet healthcare needs. Uses ESI Triage Scoring to prioritize care and treatment.
Requirements
- Current Unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse Licensure is required.
- Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS (or ENPC), and TNCC (Emergency Nurse Association) or ATCN are required; NRP Advanced (American Heart Association) and STABLE certifications are preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in an Acute Care setting is required.
- Minimum 1 year experience in Emergency Department setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, clinical judgment, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- A demonstrated ability to work well in high pressure situations is required.
