Job Description
The Infection Control Preventionist / Staff Development Coordinator is a dual position responsible for infection control and staff development. The ICP tracks and trends infections, conducts outbreak investigations, and maintains documentation. The SDC plans, directs, and evaluates educational programs for nursing service and other departments. They also assist in other departments and perform clinical tasks.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing
- License as a RN in state employed
- Current CPR certification
- Certified Infection Control Nurse preferred
- Current with state Continuing Education (CE) requirements
- Three (3) years of nursing experience
- One (1) year acute care experience preferred
